PSA: for about $50, you can buy a Wi-Fi water sensor (also senses temp and humidity) from Moen. I put them under my sinks and near my water heater, washing machine, and furnace/AC.

I did the same at my beach place and just got an alert of a leak, but I’m 400 miles away. So I called a maintenance person and sure enough, my AC unit is dumping water on the floor. On the 8th floor.

That little $50 puck just saved me and the people below me thousands.

This is hilarious. Twitter appears to be DDOSing itself.

The Twitter home feed's been down for most of this morning. Even though nothing loads, the Twitter website never stops trying and trying.

Notice the error message that I'm being rate limited. Then notice the jiggling scrollbar on the right.

The second video shows why it's jiggling. Twitter is firing off about 10 requests a second to itself to try and fetch content that never arrives because Elon's latest genius innovation is to block people from being able to read Twitter without logging in. This likely created some hellish conditions that the engineers never envisioned.

Unbelievable. It's amateur hour.

Well, for me at least this has bumped cis up a few levels in terms of how likely I am to use it.

I was wondering why people on my live kept asking about Auto GPT. Apparently they were talking about it on The All In Podcast and one of them claimed it'd replace the need for technical skills in cybersecurity.

Luckily I wasn't aware of that at the time because I would have given my take on how I'm convinced that everyone on the All-In podcast shares a single brain cell and I'd have angered half of TikTok.
